Chairman Glenn Johnston called the meeting to order.

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Roll call of Supervisors present showed William Lawhead, Edward Brown and Glenn Johnston all present.

Present: Secretary Barbara Shaffner, Police Sergeant James Glass, Zoning Hearing Board Member Randy Powell, Solicitors James Naddeo & Linda Lewis, Kim Finnigan & Marina Weis-The Courier Express, Jeff Corcino-The Progress, Steve McDole-Gant Daily, Amanda Thompson-WOKW.

Comment from the audience: None.

William Lawhead motion to approve the minutes of the June 19th, 2012 meeting as written, Edward Brown second. Motion carried.

Engineer’s Report: None.

Police Report: Sergeant Glass submitted a copy of the Police Report for the month of June.

Solicitor’s Report: Mr. Naddeo was asked by the Code Officer about an abandoned property and what she can do because of the high grass and no one will take responsibility to mow it. Mr. Naddeo let the supervisors know that the property in question already has two liens on it and would be going under tax sale and they would probably not get their money back if they placed a lien on the property for any maintenance to the property. Supervisor Lawhead let him know that he already mowed the grass as a courtesy to the neighboring property owners.

Mr. Naddeo had prepared a Resolution for the supervisors to approve for the Clearfield County Waste Disposal Plan but asked the supervisors to table to the next meeting. Edward Brown motion to table to next meeting, Glenn Johnston second. Motion carried.

Mr. Naddeo let the supervisors know that he spoke with one of the union representatives for the unions regarding a change in the health care plan and felt that they were satisfied with changing to the UPMC Health Plan and sent an agreement for them to sign.

Recreational Park Board: No Report.

Code Enforcement Officer: No Report.

Secretary/Treasurer: Secretary Barbara Shaffner reported to the supervisors that the Recycling Employee, Michael Barbara, is no longer helping with the recycling pickup. Carmen Barba feels that he can handle the pick up on his own but would like to know if the board would consider increasing his wages. Edward Brown motion to advertise for an additional employee to assist with the recycling pick up, William Lawhead second. Motion carried.

The Secretary also reported to the supervisors that the township received the additional County Aid from Clearfield County in the amount of $10,000.00 towards the purchase of the new Dodge Pick Up.

Supervisor’s Report:
Edward Brown: No Report.

William Lawhead looked into the painting that needs to be done at the Hyde Building and it was recommended that the building be sandblasted. Edward Brown motion to advertise to bid with option of purchase of materials would be done by the township, Glenn Johnston second. Motion carried.

Supervisor Lawhead announced to the public that the township would be mowing on Riverview Road on Thursday, July 5th, 2012.

Glenn Johnston commented on mowing that needs to be done throughout the township. Supervisor Lawhead let him know that he is a little short handed because of an employee that retired and would not be replaced and also an employee that is off until Fall on Sick Leave but would try to get out and get some done.

Edward Brown motion to pay the list of bills in the amount of $24,190.23, William Lawhead second. Motion carried.

No other business to come before the board.

William Lawhead motion to adjourn, Edward Brown second.
